John F. Newhouse, 67 years old, 1723 E. Spring Street, New Albany, died at 10:05 o'clock Friday night at the Norton Memorial Infirmary in Louisville. Mr. Newhouse, a native of New Albany, for a number of years was master mechanic for the Monon Route in New Albany; later held the same position with the Kentucky & Indiana Terminal Railway in Louisville, and after that the same position with the Interstate Public Service Company in New Albany, retiring about three years ago. Mr. Newhouse is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Hartman Newhouse; a daughter, Mrs. E. L. Stolzenberger; three brothers, George A. Newhouse, president of the Second National Bank, New Albany; Charles H. Newhouse and Edward A. Newhouse, both of New Albany; three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Laufer, Mrs. H. L. Graf, both of New Albany and Mrs. E. C. Baldwin, Los Angeles; a granddaughter, Virginia Stolzenberger, stepmother, Mrs. Ollie Newhouse, Denver. - New Albany Weekly Ledger March 11, 1932 p4 c5
