..Julius was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at an early age and later united with the Christian church. On May 10, 1905, he was united in marriage to Bessie Irene Allard. They made their home south of Kensington, where they were engaged in farming.
..In December, 1955, they retired to their present home in Phillipsburg and on May 10, 1968, they observed their 63rd wedding anniversary. Bessie preceded her husband in death on May 14, 1968.
..To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Olin Snair (Margaret), Burlington, Ia.; and Mrs. Ervin Gray (Eula), Wichita, Kans. Mr. Bierman was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
..In addition to his farming operation, Julius and his brother, William, operated a threshing machine for many years.
..In addition to his daughters, Mr. Bierman is survived by his twin brother August (Gus), Kensington, and his youngest brother, Fred, Kensington; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Badenhop, Kensington, and Mrs. George Atchinson, Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Douglas Glen Gray, Salina, Kans.; Mrs. Bill Young, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. John Stumme, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. William Groves, Boston, Mass.; and one great-grandchild, Marc Douglas Gray; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
..Memorial services were held Saturday afternoon, June 21, in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Macy officiating.
..Hymns were sung by Mrs. Larry Burns and John Bomgardner, accompanied by Mrs. Wilbur Davis.
..Casket bearers were John Kennis, Jess Smith, Gerald Bienhoff, Martin Oliva, Warren Stanhope and George Oliva.
..Interment was in the Olive Branch cemetery, Kensington, Kans.
