"Laid to Rest - Paul Pardue, son of Frank and Daisy Cooper, was born in the Trenton neighborhood, near Edna, Kansas, June 8, 1917 and departed this life October 18, 1921, aged four years, four months, and ten days. He leaves to mourn his loss, a father, mother, four sisters, three brothers, his grandparents, Mr. and Ms. J.R. Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Rhodes. Having patiently borne his affliction for two weeks, he passed from our care to the arms of Jesus who said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and Forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven." The funeral took place from the family home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. West conducting the services. Interment in the Edna cemetery."
