Mrs. Esther S. Diehl. 74, of 631 Broadway, widow of John Diehl Sr., died at 7:30 a.m. yesterday at the Hanover General Hospital. Her husband died Sept. 16, 1968. She was bom in Adams County, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Shertzer Sanders, and was a mem^r of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church. Surviving ,are five sons and two daughters, Robert D. and Donald Diehl, Spring Grove R.D. 2; Harold G. Diehl, 631 Broadway, with whom she lived; Mrs. Mildred E. Baker, Everett; John Diehl Jr., Spring Grove R. D- 3; Mrs. Dorothy Gross, York, and Kenneth F. Diehl, : Littlestown R.D. 1; 23 grandchildren, 14 great - grandchildren and seven brothers and Isisters, Raleigh Sanders, Em mitsburg; Clair Sanders, Hunterstown; Donald Sanders, Main Street, McSherrystown; Lillie Seitz and Kenneth Sanders, Fairfield; Timothy Sanders, Gettysburg, and Francis Sanders, with the Army in Kentucky. The Rev. Larry Neff, her pastor, will conduct the ¡funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wetzel funeral home. Carlisle Street, Burial |will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night.
