According to the Bonnie & Clyde Hideout by Frank R. Ballinger website (research contributed by Mr. Dan Truex) Mr. Hall was shot and killed supposedly by Clyde Barrow during a robbery attempt at the Little Store on the corner of Wells Ave. and Vaden St. in Sherman, Tx. Although Mr. Barrow denied any involvement in the murder he was identified by witnesses and was believed to be the culprit.
