Leon Hilton Altman of Mount Pleasant, a retired manufacturing representative for Sabel Iron Works, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens with Masonic services.
Mr. Altman was born March 5, 1908, in Charleston, a son of John Graham Altman and Coranna Sinclair Moore Altman. He attended the Citadel, was a member of Etiwan Lodge 95 AFM and St. James United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Effie Canaday Altman; three daughters, Barbara A. Buss, Shirley A. Hendrix and Mary A. McDonald, all of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Marguerite A. Bailey of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
