Our beloved mother and grandmother, Mildred Horne Swenson, returned home into the loving arms of her Lord on September 14, 2011.

She was born October 6, 1918 in Driggs, ID to George W. Horne and Rebecca M. Horne, and raised from early age in Salt Lake City, UT, where, despite a brief stint in California, she resided the rest of her life. She was the ninth child of a family of ten children.

Mildred is survived by her brother Robert (Ruth), daughter Linda Bottoms, son Paul, and fourteen grandchildren.

She is remembered dearly by her children for her wisdom's in their upbringing, teaching them love, not hate, humility, honesty, respect, hard work ethics, integrity, and many other characteristics of conduct. She will be greatly missed by others who have been fortunate enough to share in her life.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, where also a viewing will be held, where friends may visit from 12:45-1:45 p.m., prior to the graveside.
