Roberta Jane Curry,93 of Mesa Arizona, Formerly of Lovington passed away 5:00 a.m. Sunday, September 11, 2011 in her home, Mesa, Arizona Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Ashgrove Cemetery in rural Windsor. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Lovington. Memorials may be made to the Lovington Christian Church. Roberta was born January 10, 1918 in Yantisville, IL to Walter F. and Marie Conley. She graduated from Windsor High School and Sparks Business College. In 1937 she married Harold Jean Curry, and embarked on a 38 year career working in the Curry family grocery store in Lovington, IL. She was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years. In 1980 they retired to Mesa, AZ where she enjoyed hiking, water aerobics, bowling, bingo, and many other activities available in their senior community. She was a member of First Christian Church of Lovington, IL. She is survived by her husband of 74 1/2 years, sons Stephen (Kay) of Gold Canyon, AZ, James (Careth) of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren Todd, Stan, Amy, and Jeff; great grandchildren Lauren and Holly; 5 nieces and nephews.
