Arthur O. CODY, 93, died Saturday (October 29, 2005). Born in Hartford on March 4, 1912 where he resided until 1952 before moving to Bloomfield with his beloved wife Alice L. (King) CODY.

He owned and operated Cody Brothers Trucking Company, with his brother Ernest "Boy" CODY for many years beofre his retirement. Arthur was a World War II, U. S. Navy Veteran serving as a Seebee Machinist. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield and a member of the Teamsters.

Arthur dedicated his life to his love of horses. He was an avid horseman and rider.

He devoted his life to his loving family which he leaves; his wife and best friend Alice, his children; daughters, Lynne KNIGHT and Laurel JENSEN, and his son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Sue BODY; grandsons, Andrew and Jeremy JENSEN, James and Daniel CODY; his brother and partner, Ernest "Boy" CODY of West Hartford, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the U. S. and Canada.

He was predeceased by four sisters and a brother. His family will receive friends at the Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Avenue, Bloomfield, on Tuesday, November 1, from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10am at the church. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Avenue, Bloomfield, CT. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
