Mrs. Charles Miehe, whose serious illness we have noted, was taken to the hospital at Waterloo March 24th for an operation. On examination it was found she had cancer of the liver, from which she died March 30th, and the remains were brought here the same day. Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church April 1st. The deceased was 47 years old. Her husband and five children, an aged father, one sister and three brothers are left to mourn her loss. Her many friends will learn with sorrow of her untimely death, and she will be badly missed in the home and in the social circle. Of a pleasing disposition, her home was noted for its hospitality, and as a friend and neighbor she will not soon be forgotten.
