Couple observes 50th Anniversary--1966

About 200 friends and relatives honored Mr. and Mrs. Albert Loveland Sr. at their home in Haskinville Sunday afternoon in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. An open house was held by their children and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Loveland were married Dec. 25, 1916 by the Rev. Clarence M. Dudley, pastor of the Haskinville Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Their attendants were Mrs. Mary Cornue Roe of Bath, sister of the bride, and the late Robert Loveland, cousin of the bridegroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Loveland reside in the home of her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. M.G. Cornue, of Haskinville. Mr. Loveland is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Loveland of Potter Hill near Cohocton.
They have three children, Albert Loveland Jr. of Pavilion, Harold Loveland of Batavia and Miss Kimberlee Loveland at home; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They also have been foster parents to many children during the past 20 years.
Mr. Loveland has been a farmer in the Steuben County area most of his life, except for about 20 years when he farmed in the Batavia and Dansville areas.
The buffet table for the anniversary celebration was adorned with gold chrysanthemums and a four tiered cake flanked by gold candles. The cake was made by Mrs. Oley Doty Jr. of Corning, a niece of the couple.
Among the gifts received by the couple was a clock from Mr. and Mrs. Dan Liberotti and two sons of California. Mrs. Liberotti is a foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loveland.
