Berlin Jennings, 85, of Austinville, passed away Sunday, Feb., 19, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Jennings Shockley.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Newman Jennings of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Berlin Michael and Reida Jennings of Galax; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Damon Branch of Austinville; brother, Olas Jennings and family of Dublin; grandchildren and spouse, Cary and Shannon Pack and Jimmy Shockley; step-grandson, Damon Branch Jr.; great-grandchildren, Phillip Pack, Jacob Pack and Brady Pack; special nephews and wives, Cecil and Louise Davidson and Bentley and Susan Jennings; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Dell N. Mabe, Faye and B.J. Davidson, Forest and Virginia Newman, Willard Newman, Lake and Lola Newman, Gene Newman, and Mary Ann and Ray Griffin.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Smythers, Rev. Billy Dean and Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
