Edith L. Beamish, 77 years of age, passed away Tuesday, February 18, at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. She had been ill for two years and confined to bed for one week. Funeral services will be conducted from the Benjamin funeral home Friday, Feb. 21, 1947, at 2:00 pm, Rev. Frank Benish of Montrose, officiating. Burial will be in Thetford Cemetery.
Mrs. Beamish was born in Wisconsin, Dec. 30, 1869 and lived most of her life in Clio and vicinity. She lived in Montrose for several years, and for the past six months in the Upper Peninsula. She was a member of the Montrose Methodist Church.
Surviving are: 3 daughters, Mrs. Blanche Ross of Sault Ste. Marie, Mrs. Cecil Lary of Flint, Mrs. Una Landskroener of Gladwin; 3 sons, Grant of Clio, Glenn and Ray of Grand Blanc; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
