The 1900 census dated June 11th shows Allen (age 10) living in Dirigo Township, Grant County, Oklahoma with parents Joseph (age 35), Emily J. (age 29) and sisters Dortha A. (age 8), Alta P. (age 6) and Lily L. (age 4). Joseph's occupation was Farmer.

In 1910 Allen (age 19) lived with his parents and sisters, Alta (age 16) and Lily L. ( age 14) in Grand Island Ward 1, Nebraska. His occupation was Cream Grader at a Creamery. Their home was next door to a whorehouse. (Cream Grader was also known as Butter Tester).

On December 16, 1911 Allen Robert Morford (age 21) married Suetta Watkins (age 16) in Omaha, Nebraska. They had four children: Emily Matilda, Allen Joseph, Robert David and William LeRoy.

In 1913 Allen was working for Harding Creamery in Jobber's Canyon located at 8th & Harney, Omaha, Nebraska along with his sisters Dortha, Lily and Alta. Allen continued to work there in 1916 at the age of 25.

In 1917/1918 the family moved to a farm in Haxton, Colorado. By the time their son Robert David was born in 1919, the family was back in Omaha, Nebraska.

On June 5, 1919 Allen registered for the World War I draft. His home address was 3426 Taylor Street in Omaha, Nebraska. Allen's occupation was Stationary Fireman at the Willow Springs Brewery. He had a dependent wife and two children. The registration shows no disability except Rupture. The description shows he was of medium build, blue eyes and brown hair. The registration shows his age as 26, he was 29.

The 1920 census shows Allen Robert (age 29) and Suetta (age 23) living with William (age 54) and Matilda Watkins (age 41). Household included William J. Watkins (age 18); Margurite (Margaret) Watkins (age 18); Julia Watkins (age 13); Glenn Watkins (age 10); Dortha Watkins (age 8) and grandchildren Emily Morford (age 7) and Allen Morford (age 5). The family lived in Douglas County, Nebraska. Allan's occupation was Farmer. Why Robert David is not listed as a member of the household is a mystery, he was born December 30, 1919.

In 1930 Allen (age 39), widowed, rented a home at 7001 Bedford in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska with daughter Emily (age 17) and sons Allen (age 15), Robert (age 10) and Le Roy (age 8). Allen's occupation was Laborer at a Box Factory. Emily was a homemaker.

In 1940 Allen R. (age 49), widowed, rented a home at 4333 Camden Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska. Household included daughter Emily (age 27) and son Leroy (age 18). Allen's occupation was Maintenance Man. Leroy 's occupation was Truck Driver. Lived same place in 1935. Highest grade completed for Allen was Elementary school to 5th grade. Highest grade completed for Emily and Leroy was Elementary school to 8th grade. Name misspelled on census as Marford.
