Roy L. Hoyman, 82, of Garrett RD 1, died May 22, 1990, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born January 22, 1908, at Garrett, a son of the late William Henry and Christina Ann Keefer Hoyman. He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline (Lenhart) and a son Irvin. He is survived by four sons: Robert, John, Ronald and David, all of Garrett; and a daughter, Patricia, wife of James Burkholder, of Berlin. Also 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Betty Montage, of Johnstown. He was a member of the Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett, a retired coal miner and employee of Decker Construction Company. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 Thursday at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
