Albert Clark, Owner-Manager Of Garage, Killed in Rt. 34 Accident
CAYUGA-Albert Clark, about 65, owner and manager of the Clark Garage in Cayuga for 35 years, was killed Monday evening. His car crashing into a Swallow Coach bus on Road 34 west of Indianapolis.
Clark had gone to Indianapolis to bring back an automobile to Cayuga. The accident occurred about 17 miles west of Indianapolis, at Pittsboro.
The garage owner was active in politics serving as a delegate to Democratic state and national conventions several times. For a number of years, he was chairman of the Sixth District for the Democratic Party.
He was a son of Steve Clark, who resides at Cayuga. He was twice married, first to Miss Mattie Isles. To this union two children were born, Lane Clark, Cayuga, and Mrs. Russell McLain, Eugene. He later was married to Etta Downs, who survives. To this union one child, Donald, was born.
Surviving besides the widow and mother are a brother, Newton Clark, Villa Grove, Ill.; two half brothers, Ray and Clarence Clark, Cayuga, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Mabonew, Marion, Ind.
