WILLARD  CAMPBELL, age 76 of Route 2, Camden, Indiana, died unexpectedly at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana. He was born on February 25, 1892 in Washington Township, Carroll County, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar G. Campbell. He was a retired farmer. He was married to Ethel Bernice Justice who preceded him in death.  Willard was married to Ethel Bernice Justice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Justice in Clymers, Indiana in October 1916 who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, James of Pueblo, Colorado as well as four sisters: Mrs. Bessie Smith of Route 1, Delphi, Indiana; Mrs. Mabel McCloskey and Mrs. Fannie Hinkle of Route 1, Camden and Mrs. Rowena Martin of Route 2, Camden; and three grandchildren. A daughter, Virginia, preceded him in death. The body I s at the Sullivan Home in Camden, Indiana where rites are pending. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at Deer Creek, Indiana.  The wedding announcement from: “Delphi Citizen Times,” Delphi, Indiana, Saturday, October 14, 1916
read, “ A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Justice of Clymers, Indiana, where their daughter, Miss Ethel Justice was united in marriage at 8 o’clock to Mr. Willard Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Campbell of Deer Creek with the Reverend McCoy of Burrows performing the ceremony in the presence of one hundred invited relatives and friends. The bride wore an attractive gown of white georgette over satin with pink rosebud trimming. Miss Anna Lynch played Mendelssohn’s wedding march and during the ceremony, James Justice sang. The bride traveled in a dark blue serge suit. Upon their return, the young couple will reside on a farm near Deer Creek, Indiana.”

The estate of Willard Campbell, deceased, was opened in Carroll County Court through the law firm of Obear and Overholser. Letters of administration were issued to James J. Campbell, son and sole-heir.
