Charles "Bob" R. Darling, Montrose, PA, died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Beverly Health Center in Tunkhannock. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mae M. Gardner.
Born in Mansfield on June 22, 1924, he was the son of the late Floyd and Lydia Stevens Darling.
He was a 1942 graduate of Rush High School and was a self-employed farmer and contractor.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Willard Darling.
He is survived by his son Roy, of Mehoopany; daughters, Connie Richie of Meshoppen an Peggy Lyne, of Laceyville; brothers, Richard of Nicholson, Edward, of West Vally, NY, and Gordon, and sister, Ruth Morris, of Sayre.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 25 from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Meshoppen. Interment was in Retta Cemetery.
