Miles A. Cartwright, 73, former Muncie resident and more recently of the Anderson Health Care Center, died Friday in St. John Medical Center, Anderson.
He was born in Canada, came to Muncie as a child and attended Muncie schools. He retired from Delco Battery after 32 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the United Auto Workers, Delco Sympathy Club and the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra; a stepdaughter, Bonnie; two brothers, Charles and Spencer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Rosemary, died in 1988.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with burial in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Mount Pleasant. Calling at the mortuary will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Fort Harrison Military Services.
