Final Rites Held for Pioneer Oak Grove Resident
Services for Mrs. Leila Fisher, late of Center and Lee avenues, Oak Grove, who passed away at her home last Wednesday after a lingering illness, will be held in the Chapel of Portland Crematorium, Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m., Rev. R. T. T. Hicks of St. Johns Episcopal church will officiate.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Terryville, Conn., June 6, 1861, and with her parents, moved to Omnaha, Kas., and was married in 1879. She came westward in the early 90s and after a short stay in California, came to Portland where she resided for 18 years. She later lived at Carlton, a year in Canada and from 1914 to 1920 at Beaver Creek. She came to Oak Grove 26 years ago.
She is survived by a son, Edward Fisher of Jennings Lodge, a daughter, Mrs. Lotta Bellinger, Milwaukie; sister, Mrs. Grace Wood, Clarkston, Wash., and one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
