Italian Actor. Film Director. Screenwriter. Making over 130 appearances in film spanning six decades including Trappola d'amore, Luigi Zamkpa's Signoirinette, Pietro Germi's The Facts of Murder, Il Medico della Mutua, Swordsman of Siena, Gibraltar, Catch As Catch Can, Io non spezzo... rompo, Ante Up, and Vacanze di Natali '91/Christmas Vacation '91. His directorial film debut was the neorealist drama The Sky is Red with an additional nine films ranging from comedies to westerns including Three Strangers in Rome. His most famous film was Febbre di Vivere starring Marcello Mastroianni. Additionally working on Adua e le compagne, directed by Antonio Pietrangeli; Tutti a casa, by Luigi Comencini; and A Difficult Life, by Dino Risi's. Born as and sometimes credited as Emilio Giordana, Gora had a very successful career on stage and television. Married to the Italian actress Marina Berti from 1944 until his death. All five of his children and one grandchild are actors.
