91, widower of Roberta Isaacs of Beacon Hill, died Fri, Sep 30, 2011 at his home. He was a retired salesman and manager with Electrolux Vacuum Cleaners and member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. Bowen was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a friend and inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was the son of the late Giles and Doanna Coyle Isaacs. Survivors include four daughters, Dolores (Floyd) Harris of Lexington, Betty Dixon, Wanda Ingram and Sharon (Buddy) Mitchell, all of Nicholasville, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Maude Skeens of Lexington and Jessie (Louis) Arnold of Nicholasville. He was preceded in death by a son, Bowen Ray Isaacs and two sisters Hazel Isaacs and Geneva Crawford. Services will be 10:30am Tue at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Mon. Grandchildren will serve as bearers. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Rachel Harper, Dr. Arthur Henderson and Hospice of the Bluegrass. Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Edgewood Baptist Church.
