She was born in Harrison township April 26, 1863, the daughter of Mr And Mrs Samuel Wise, and spent her life in this country, except for a short period spent at Petoskey, Mich.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, George, of Bristol, and Wilbur, of Goshen; eight daughters, Mrs Alfred Miller, of Goshen; Mrs John Thibis, of Bristol; Mrs Herbert Clemns, of Detroit, Mich; Mrs Bert Jones, of Alba, Mich; Mrs J Shelton, of Mackinaw City, Mich; Mrs Ira Miller, of Goshen; Mrs Dick Douma, of Goshen; and Mrs Seal Hale, of Wawaka; 31 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Leander Miller, of Wakarusa, and four brothers, Noah Wise, of Brellaire, Mich; Jeremiah Wise of Nappanee, and Oliver and Christian Wise, both of Wakarusa.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Culp Funeral Home. Capt McMahon officiated, and burial was made in the Yellow Creek cemetery.
