Bedford – Madylene Mowery, 91, of Bedford, died at 11:55 am on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford.
Born November 19, 1919 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Joseph and Lula (Beal) Anderson. She married James Roach, Harold Mowery and Herman Harris, all of whom preceded her in death. She retired from NWSC Crane as a computer program manager.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Jimmy) Roach and his friend, Carol Hedrick of Bedford; grandchildren, Randy Roach and his fiancé, Ginger Kern and James (Jay) Roach and his wife, Shannon; great grandchildren, Matthew Roach, Zach Roach, Tasheena Roach, Jacob Roach and Hiley Roach; great great grandchildren, Kelan Roach; her former daughter-in-law, Barbara Roach; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, siblings, Harold, James and Charles Robert (Bob) Anderson, Dorothy Davis and Betty Hawkins.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
