IOWA CITY
Gertrude Sheridan Miller, 97, of 507 Grant St., died in Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, following a short illness.
Born on June 3, 1890, in Gothenberg, Neb., she was homemaker and worked at University Hospitals. She was married to Ted Miller on Feb. 5, 1916, at Oakville; he died Dec. 20, 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are four daughters, Pauline Spivey of Tiffin, Erma Martin of Cedar Rapids, Lova Fritsch of Galesburg, Ill., and Elaine Robus of Heber Springs, Ark.; a son, Donald Miller of Fremont, Calif.; two sisters, Vivian Setterberg, and Genevieve Sheridan both of Burlington; 11 grandchildren, 23-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, George L. Gay's, with the Rev. Wilbur Wilcox. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Gay's. Memorials to First United Methodist Church.
