BANGOR - Ellen Frances Obey, 93, died April 19, 2004, in Bangor. She was born March 14, 1911, in Bangor, the daughter of John and Mary (Call) Obey.
Surviving are three sisters, Mary A. Blinn of Arizona, Margaret J. Blinn of Florida, Stella C. Pelkey of Brewer; one aunt, Jenny Obey of Worcester, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Louise Obey of Bucksport; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Jack Obey; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Blanchard.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John's Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. (Bangor Daily News 4/20/2004)
