Mrs. Close died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday September 11, 1996, in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a grandchild, Mark Perkins.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Perkins of Fort Worth; her mother, Gertrude Hood of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Donelle Brosseau of Chicago, Illinois, and June Morris of Sulphur Springs; and two brothers, Jack Hood of Sulphur Springs and Curtis Hood of Longview.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 13, in Ridgeway Cemetery with the Rev. L. B. Morgan officiating.
