Green Jefferson Lowe fought in the Civil War,Co E.,25 th regiment Tenn.Infantry,He was with Robert E Lee's group that surrendered at Appromattax on 9 Apr 1865 to Grant.During the war he was a Teamster,AND a prisoner of War .He later was a Minister and helped establish early Hill County Churches.
