Christian G Martin died on Friday, Dec 29th, 1893, at the residence of his son-in-law about eight miles south west of Nappanee. On Saturday N J Culp undertaker of this place, accompanied by Mr Elliott brought the remains to his old home south of town where the funeral took place Sunday.
Mr Martin was one of the first settlers of this township and was highly respected. Aged about 80 years.
