Charles H. Babcock, member of the state forest preserve board under Govs. Black, Roosevelt and Odell; president of the Lincoln National Bank of Rochester until its merger this year with the Alliance Bank, and well known coal dealer, died at his home in Rochester, aged 72 years.

According to the transfer tax deposition on the estate of Charles H. Babcock, late of Rochester, filed yesterday, he left an estate of $S32,5S6, upon which a transfer tax of $36,034 has been fixed.
