Herman Dunlap, 73, Of Maxwell, Is Dead
Herman Dunlap Jr., 73, member of a prominent Colusa County family and extensive farmer west of Maxwell for many years, died this morning in Glenn General Hospital, Willows, a short time after he was stricken with a heart seizure at his home.
He was rushed to the Willows hospital by the Colusa Ambulance Service.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dunlap, Sr., of Colusa, he was born on a ranch south of here.
The survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kate Feeney Dunlap of Willows, and brothers Willis and B. C. Dunlap of Willows, both former Colusa County farmers.
The news of Mr. Dunlap's death brought expressions of deep regret throughout the county were he was so well known and liked. He had attended a meeting of the Western Sacramento Valley Shrine Club in Arbuckle last Monday night along with Ellsworth "Kelly" Killebrew of Willows, former Colusa ice plant manager, and seemed to be in his usual good health.
Mr. Dunlap was a member of Maxwell Masonic Lodge, Colusa Chapter No. 60, Royal Arch Masons, Colusa Commandery No. 24, Knights Templar, and Ben Ali Temple of the Shrine.
Services are pending at the Sweet Funeral Home in Willows.
