Mary Wright married Edward Carroll (b: 1780 in Kilkinny Ireland) Records states that she is the niece of Gen. Green of Revolutionary War fame. Her father fought on the side of the colonists.
Edward and Mary had three children:
1. Catherine, born in Sussex Co., NJ in 1805 married Samuel Loftin in 1823. Their daughter Mary Agnes married Ephraim Fredenburg and is buried in the same cemetery as her grandmother.
2. Charles Wright, born in Stark Co., Ohio, in Aug. 16, 1815. Came to Jersey Co. in 1818 with his parents.
3. Thomas Edward, born in Jersey Co., on Feb. 2, 1820, and married Bridget Fitzgerald. Moved to Macoupin County, Ill.
