Kentucky Death Certificate #29960.
Died from Diphtheria and Pneumonia.
Little son of Hila Lafayette Orr and Zilpah May Drennan-Orr.

THE CRITTENDEN PRESS ~ December 7, 1923.
Marion, Crittenden County, Kentucky.

Melva Ross Orr, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Orr, was born April 28, 1919, and died Dec. 2, 1923. He was 4 years, 8 months and four days old. Little Ross was sick seven weeks. Everything was done for him that a kind father and loving mother, brothers, sisters and neighbors could do but on Sunday morning December 2 at 7 o'clock, the little spirit took its flight to God who gave it. We are trying to bow in humble submission to God's will. Oh, how we do miss the busy feet and the rattling tongue.
Little Ross leaves a father, mother, seven brothers and one sister. They are: Leslie, Lynn, Glenn, Allen, Arthur, Elsie, Lacy, and Leman. These are all living. Annie died June 5, 1921. When they were all here there were ten children.
The funeral was conducted at Sugar Grove at 12 o'clock December 3, by Rev. W.T. Oakley in the presence of a large congregation. The floral offering was beautiful. The pall bearers were four little boys. David Drennan, Robert Drennan, Garrett Holmes, and Lonnie Walker. Gone but not forgotten.
