He was born Dec. 19,1916, in Chance,OK to George and Ella Scott Parris. He worked for Allen Canning Company for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 36 years, Mary Hogner Parris; his parents; a daughter, Wanda Coon; two brothers, Clint and Lee Parris and a sister, Dollie Erickson.
He is survived by a son, Tony Parris and wife Sandy of Siloam Springs,AR; a daughter, Barbara Skaggs of Westville,OK; and 3 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Aug.27,2008 at 2 p.m. in the New Hope Cemetery with Bro. John Morris officiating.
Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
