The horrors which accompanied the fire that destroyed the home of Norman Francisco, Town of Florida, early Wednesday morning, nine members of the family being trapped within the burning house, Mrs. Francisco dying at St. Mary's Hospital five hours after entering, and all other members being more or less burned and frost bitten, continue to multiply. Edith, 17, a daughter who was burned badly, died at 4:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Amsterdam City Hospital, and at almost the very moment she was passing, the remains of her brother, Emerson, who had reached his 11th birthday anniversary on the morning -of the- fire—were exhumed from, the debris under conditions indicating beyond doubt that he had dropped through the burning floor of the house into the cellar beneath, a radiator falling with him and upon his body, to eliminate whatever chance he might have had to escape.
The condition of Norman Francisco, the father, remained critical today, Viola, a 11-year-old daughter, being only in fair condition, while Cordon, 2, and Lucy, 7, are reported in excellent condition. All these are in St. Mary's Hospital. Aaron. 8, and Caroline, 4, are in the Amsterdam City Hospital, the condition of the girl being reported as "good," while Aaron shows a throat trouble indicating' laryngitis, which may have been caused by inhaling smoke.
