Son of Elijah Tetreau and Roseanna Desjardin, he was born February 12, 1890 near Filion, Michigan. He farmed with his parents many years. He and Miss Maude Crumback were married July 25, 1911, in Saginaw, Michigan. They lived near Filion, until they moved to Bad Axe in 1922. Samson worked 25 years for the Huron County Road Commission before he retired October, 1956.
