Andrew Aitken, 84, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier. He was born Oct. 30, 1918, in Glasgow, Scotland, the son of the late George Aitken. He was a lifelong member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ligonier, where he served as a deacon, elder and trustee. He was also a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Luketic) Aitken, of Ligonier; and two nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Singlak.
