Uncle of James Joseph Adams (1952- ), Jerry Wayne Adams (1955- ), Debra Ann Rorer Sauerman (1960- ) David Glen Rorer (1961- ), Daniel Wayne Rorer (1962- ), Donald Allen Rorer (1964- ), Douglas Rorer (1971- ), Pamela Rose Lawson (1966- ) and John Thomas "Tom" Lawson (1967- ). Jim was raised on a farm near Bloomingdale, In and graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 1945.
