My 3rd Great-Grandfather, Heinrich was the son of Franz and Catharina (Wittlich) Mente of Germany. He was born 01 May 1844 in Cologne, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany and died 10 September 1906 in Danby, New York.
He married Anna Perpente, the daughter of Carolus and Wilhelminae (Burkhardt) Perpente of Germany, on 16 December 1869 in New York, New York and with her had 7 children - Heinrich, Emil, Charles, Frank, George, Wilhemena and Anne.
