Norman Hanson

Word has been received of the death of Norman Hanson, 66, retired teacher of Tetonia, Idaho, last Wednesday.

Mr. Hanson was born at Brigham City, March 22, 1879, a son of James and Matilda Benson Hanson. The early years of his life were spent in that community.

In 1900 he married Janie W. Yates of Call's Fort, who died in 1908.

A few years later he went to the Teton basin in Idaho and was one of the early settlers of that region. In 1915 he married Sarah Porter of Franklin, Idaho. He was an elder and an active member of the L. D. S. church.

Surviving besides his widow are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Manie Mueller and Mrs. Ruby Lafon, Ogden; Gordon, Goldie, Jean, Miles, Connie and Reed Hanson, Tetonia, Idaho, and Don, George and Howard, now serving in the U. S. armed forces; also the following brothers and sisters: Hyrum J. Hanson, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Amelia Flygare, Ogden; David Hanson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Frieda Hampton, Bountiful; Mrs. Lillie Hanson, Puyallup, Wash; Mrs. Martha Cornia, Isaac and June Hanson, Brigham City.

Funeral services will be conducted in Tetonia, and burial will be in Brigham City Cemetery.
