MARION - P. C. Brown of Centenary, died this afternoon at the Mullins hospital of injuries he received early last night, when the car he was driving ran into a train near Centenary.
Brooks Gibson, also of Centenary who was riding with Mr. Brown, escaped with slight injuries.
It was reported that the train was standing still across the highway, at the crossing, about ten miles south of Marion on the Centenary highway. The accident occurred about 8 o'clock last night and both men were rushed to the Mullins hospital, where Mr. Brown died this afternoon.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife and several children.
Funeral services will be held at Gapway Church Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
