OBITUARY :
SHARON COOLEY BEEBE, 65, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at her home.

Born Oct. 29, 1945, in McKeesport, Pa., she was the daughter of Dorothy (Fowler) Cooley of Williamsport and the late Paul Cooley.

Mrs. Beebe received her master's degree from Trinity College, Washington, D.C., and retired with more than 30 years of service as a teacher with the Montgomery County Board of Education.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hagerstown, where she served in the Relief Society. She also was a member of the Hagerstown Women's Club and was generous in giving for the rights and protection of animals.

In addition to her mother, she also is survived by her loving husband, Stanford R. Beebe; and one brother, David Cooley of Ellicott City, Md.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1253 Mt. Aetna Road, Hagerstown, with Bishop Jack Castle officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's name to the American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
