Robert Carnihan, Esq., departed this life at midnight, Friday last aged about 73 years.
Mr Carnahan was all his life, we believe, a resident of the borough of Butler and identified with its interests.
He carried on a cabinet shop for many of the earlier years of his manhood; afterwards, for a long period was a Justice of the Peace, which office he filled with honor to himself and satisfaction to the public.
He was a kind and indulgent father, a good citizen and a humble christian.
His funeral was largely attended last Monday.
