Joyce Abercrombie, 80, of Rossville, GA, died on Monday, October 24, 2011 at her residence.
She was born and raised in LaFayette, GA, and was a graduate of LaFayette High School.
Mrs. Abercrombie was preceded in death by her parents, A. M. and Lucille Bell Matthews, son, Jay Abercrombie, and brother, Ray Matthews.
Survivors are her husband of more than 50 years, James Abercrombie; sons, Matthew (Donna) Abercrombie, Rossville, GA, Andrew (Lisa) Abercrombie, East Brainerd, TN, and John (Carmel) Abercrombie, Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Reese, Tyler and Austin Abercrombie; nieces, Holly Hunt, Cleveland, GA and Tracy Rowell, Peachtree City, GA.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 in LaFayette City Cemetery with Chaplain William Lester officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Chattanooga Affiliate, 5600 Brainerd Road Suite B-22, Chattanooga, TN 37411, or the Alzheimer's Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 8, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
