Dan was the owner and operator of Dale Farms. He also was employed by the United States Post Office in Camden for over thirty years.
He was a member of the Camden First United Methodist Chuch, the Philanthropic Lodge #164 F & AM, the Camden Grange, the Masonic Lodge of Camden, and the New York Steam Engine Association.
Dan enjoyed going to steam shows where he took pride in showing his 1922 Case Steam Engine Tractor.
Surviving besides his loving wife of forty- seven years, Ruth; are three daughters and sons-in-law, Kristine and Kurt Allen, of North Bay, Patricia and Jerald Platt, of Camden, and Debra and Todd Russell, of Chittenango; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Ronald Short, of Zephyrhills, FL; two grandchildren, Jordan Russell and Ava Platt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
