Obituary-
Mrs. Anna Martin, a pioneer of Aberdeen and Brown county, passed away at her home, 505 South Jackson street, Tuesday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock, death following an extended illness of several months duration. She was 81 years old.
She was born is Switzerland, Nov. 24, 1845, and came to this country in 1884 with her mother, one sister and a brother, settling in [Wausau], Wis. where she married Robert Martin.
Two years later the family moved to Racine, Wis., and in 1891 came to Aberdeen. In the spring of 1893 the family moved to Mina where they made their home until November of 1911, coming back to Aberdeen.
Her husband and one son preceded her in death a few years ago. She leaves to mourn her passing, one son, John Martin, three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Gehr of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. John Andrist of St. Cloud, Florida, and Miss Lena Andrist, of Geneva, Switzerland, besides two brothers, Fred Andrist, of Los Angeles, and Samuel Andrist of Berne, Switzerland.
Funeral services will be held from the Hueby Chapel Friday at 2:30 with Rev. Francis E. Reese officiating. Burial will be made at the Riverside cemetery in the family lot.
