The record we've found to name Ephraim as the son of Marrit & Sarah Burgess is from the Church Records of Needham Circuit 1847-1994, page 13 of NEHG Register 1912.
Burgess, Ephraim the son (of) Marrit & Sarah Burges baptized Nov. 1, 1807. His death record also gives the names of his parents.

Ephraim Burgess, widr., of Harvard, yeoman, b. Harvard, and Hannah Hazen, b. Tyngsborough Intentions also recorded. Source is the Vital Records of Groton Mass. to 1850, page 37. Therefore, Hannah is Ephraim's second wife as he was a widower when he married her.

His first wife was Mary Ann Shepley, daughter of William Shepley and Lydia Tarbell. She was born 8 Mar 1806 in Groton, Middlesex, Mass. They were married 28 Mar 1833 in Groton.
