ASHTABULA — Mary Long, age 79, of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born May 7 , 1931, in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of Clarence W. and Lillian (Strobel) Miller.
Mary had worked as a cashier for Stop and Shop and at Olsen's Bakery. She was a member of the Ashtabula Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, family and pets.
Mary is survived by her husband, Russell; daughters, Cheryl Scott of Painesville and Gloria Long of Jefferson; son, Jay Long of Rock Creek; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 29th, at POTTI LAKESIDE FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Dan Evans, of Ashtabula Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling Hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of Service, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
