Elizabeth "Liz" Laducer was born on October 28, 1931 in Belcourt, to Lee and Harriet (Allery) DeLong. She married her lifetime partner, Louis "Sam" Laducer on January 6, 1954 in Belcourt, ND. Together they had eight children: Jean (Ed) Broussard, Clark (Liz) Laducer, Peggy (Grumpy) Laducer, Cathy Laducer, Tami (Raymond Jr.) Delorme, Connie Laducer, Theresa (Vern) Laducer and Norbert (Patti) Laducer. She was also the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Sam and Liz traveled throughout the United States in their younger days, then settled in Belcourt in 1964, where they made their home. Liz was a homemaker until 1973 and then started to work at the Belcourt Hospital in the dietary department. She retired in 1998 after 25 years.

Liz loved to spend her time with her family, especially during the holidays. She made sure no one left her home on an empty stomach. Sam was an avid hunter and Liz could prepare anything that was brought home. She could bake anything and her canning was the best. Liz loved to share stories from her childhood. After retirement, Sam and Liz started their travels again, choosing different routes every summer, not only in the United States, but also in Canada. They were well-known throughout Rolette County and many other surrounding counties, going to different towns, and restaurants on a daily basis.

Liz took great pride in her appearance, her job, her family, and everything that she did. In 2007, her health started to decline and in 2008 moved into the Rolette Communty Care Center, where she resided unit Tuesday, September 20, 2011, when she left on her journey to Heaven.
