Skuli Stefanson, 90, Fargo, N.D. and formerly of Grand Forks, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, in Villa Maria Nursing Home of Fargo.

Skuli Stefanson was born Oct. 30, 1907, the son of Sigurgeir and Sigurrose Stefanson, in Cavalier, N.D., where he attended school. He attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, N.D., and went into business in Hensel, N.D. He married Effie Einarson on Dec. 5, 1934, in Mountain, N.D. He taught at the agricultural high school in Park River, N.D. During World War II, he was also employed at the Glenn L. Martin bomber plant, Bellevue, Nebraska. He returned to North Dakota and retired in Grand Forks in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Effie; a son, Randolph (Corinne), Moorhead, Minn.; daughters, Sharon (Richard) Kidd, Hilton Head, S.C. and Cynthia (David) Baumgardner, Fargo, N.D.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Christine Herzog, Mountain, N.D.
